best way to remove sludge from engine?

My pull truck motor has a bit of sludge in it... what is the best way to remove it? I know BG has an engine flush kit... but i want to know if there is a better way to do it... thanks for any help

If it's a running truck, "seafoam" is a treatment that is supposed to clean engines out. I've never used it but friends of mine recommend it. Another trick is to mix transmission fluid in with the oil before you change it. Transmission fluid
