and what is a GY6 engine?

GY6 refers to older Honda 4 stroke engine design 1980s Lots of copies 50cc, 125cc, 150cc. Kymco is listed as using GY6 derived engines. whether the Super 8 125 is using that or another engine design is something to ask Kymco dealer-but from sales catalog
