Would a catalytic converter stop a 1993 Ford aerostar from starting?
I have been working on this van off and on for about 4 months. I have replaced all ignition parts and fuel pump. It is getting spark and fuel. I drill 4 small holes in the exhaust just before the catlytic converter and it attemps to start which it hasn't
It's a possibility - usually a plugged converter will initially start and then stall out along with a possible backfire in the intake manifold.
